Jairo Arcila is a third generation coffee grower who worked as a mill manager for Colombia's second largest coffee exporter for over 40 years. He purchased Finca La Esmerelda in 1987 where he planted his first Caturra lot. He has since bought a further five farms, providing jobs for locals and generating an economic impact in the community.

This coffee was grown at his farm, Santa Mónica and is all handpicked and sorted to ensure only the ripest cherries and no defects. 

Sidra is a hybrid between Bourbon and Typica varieties. Its sweet and bright profile is a characteristic of this unique variety, said to have originated in Ecuador.
