Located in the Kirinyaga County just north of Nairobi, Alvans Mutero plants SL28 / SL34 on his 9 acres of land. On the farm, he has outfitted a small factory with a pulping machine and fermentation tanks with washings channels to allow him to process his own coffee according to his high standards. In this way, he adds value to his own production and eliminates the factor of price fluctuations through actions.
The coffee is pulped and fermented for 24hrs before washed and dried on raised beds between 10-14 days.
We chose this coffee because of its rich blackberry sweetness and crisp apple acidity. Classic Kenyan with a big body.
