Valdeir had been producing speciality coffee for nineteen years but was missing out on competition wins until he changed the variety he was growing. Red Catuaí  immediately led him to victory. 

The farm, Sítio Córrego do Cateto, is home to 15,000 Arabica trees and has been in the family since Valdeir's ancestors came to Espírito Santo from Italy in the 19th century. Valdeir is the fifth generation to work the land, running the farm with his wife and son. 

Cazeti's property is on the border of Bateia and Castelo, surrounded by the Forno Grande State Park, home to the second highest peak in Espírito Santo at 2029 MASL.
