We are so happy to finally release this classic clean Kenyan coffee. Super vibrant and clean with notes of rhubarb and strawberry. The processing of this coffee makes all the difference. The combination of fermenting and washing this coffee adds another level of complexity.
We love brewing this as V60 but its also amazing as espresso!
Ihara factory was founded in 1970, and is operated by the Mwirua Farmers Cooperative Society, which has only 500 active members who contribute to this mill. Each farmer owns about 1/8th of a hectare of land, and deliver their coffee cherry to the mill for sorting and processing
